The Pleiades, also known as the Seven Sisters, are an open star cluster in the constellation Taurus. It is the best known and the most striking to the naked eye. In Greek mythology, the Pleiades were daughters of the Titan Atlas. To save them from being pursued by the hunter Orion, Zeus transformed them into stars.
